COVID Care: Task forces reach out to beneficiaries

At Kangpokpi, around 155 beneficiaries without ration cards availed the MLA's essential items which were distributed at the KYU office.

The Covid task force of Kangpokpi and Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi on Thursday handed over essentials, including rice, pulses, and potatoes to all the beneficiaries of their respective area provided by the local MLA.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen also took part in the distribution of the items at Kangpokpi.

The MLA before distributing the essential items said that to ensure no one goes hungry during the curfew and while all are fighting the dreaded COVID-19, she has arranged all these essential items only for the people who are yet to obtain ration cards. The BJP government under the leadership of the Prime Minister had already arranged ration for all cardholders, she said.

Kipgen also emphasised on the importance of vaccination and exhorted the beneficiaries to get vaccinated at the earliest. They can take help and assistance from the Covid task force anytime for vaccination, she said.

Kipgen handed over the essential items to the beneficiaries at the KYU office in the presence of Covid task force Kangpokpi.

Earlier in the morning, Covid task force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi also distributed the essential item at Yaikongpao to all the beneficiaries at areas under its jurisdiction.

Around 160 beneficiaries without ration cards availed the essential items provided by the MLA. The Covid task force Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi volunteers also provided home delivery services for those who could not go to the distribution site.

At Kangpokpi, around 155 beneficiaries without ration cards availed the MLA's essential items which were distributed at the KYU office till the afternoon.

Meanwhile, medical superintendent of district hospital Kangpokpi Dr Paotinlal Haokip, medical officer of PHC Kalapahar Dr Pilhing also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to MLA Nemcha Kipgen for her continuous efforts and sacrifices in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 under Kangpokpi assembly constituency.
