COVID Care: 1,500 rice bags distributed

Manipur Water Resource Minister Letpao Haokip and local MLA of Chandel assembly constituency distributed one rice bag for each 1,500 households along with monetary assistance of Rs 500 each on Wednesday.

To help the poor people who are affected by the intensified restrictions, Manipur Water Resource Minister Letpao Haokip and local MLA of Chandel assembly constituency distributed one rice bag for each 1,500 households along with monetary assistance of Rs 500 each on Wednesday.

As a part of the distribution of rice in the assembly constituency to the needy, distribution of rice was done at Sugnu area. During the distribution conducted on Wednesday at Sokom Upper Primary school located under Chakpikarong subdivision, Letpao said the people have been suffering due to intensified restrictions imposed across the state to prevent COVID-19 infection. To assist the needy persons, he took the initiatives for distribution of rice, he added,

He appealed not to believe in rumours against Covid-19 vaccination. There is no harm in vaccination and the people should get the vaccinated early as it could prevent them from facing severe impacts, he added.
