MPYCC provides essential items to 50 families in memory of its social media coordinator in Churachandpur

The distribution of essential items was made in memory of MPYCC social media coordinator, late David Thangmuansang Simte, who passed away on June 9 at the age of 28.

A team of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) led by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary, Hareshwar Goshwami provided essential items to 50 families and ABC orphanage home located at Lazangphai on Tuesday.

The distribution of essential items was made in memory of MPYCC social media coordinator, late David Thangmuansang Simte, who passed away on June 9 at the age of 28 due to heart attack.

The MPYCC team provided rice packets, potatoes and salt to 50 families at the residence of Lianching, mother of late David Simte. Later, the team visited the ABC orphanage home and provided two bags of rice, cartons of eggs, cooking oil and dal.

Late David Thangmuansang Simte was active for the cause of youth in many forums including sports and politics. He was selected as a representative in National Sports Meet and started Khangthah (youth) Football Club. He was also involved in the National Service Scheme and later joined as the social media coordinator of MPYCC in February 2021.

While handing out the essential items, Hareshwar Goshwami lauded David’s contribution saying that it was a great loss for the youth and Congress party. Under the Congress party's Pandemic Management Committee, they have been providing help to the needy people, he added.
