Seventeen new COVID-19 positive cases were on Wednesday reported in Nagaland, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 347, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
The health minister said that the new cases were among those 448 samples tested. Of them, Kohima reported 15 cases while the other two cases were reported from Zunheboto, he said.
"Out of 448 samples tested, 17 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported. 15 patients from Kohima QC & 2 from Zunheboto QC," the minister tweeted on Wednesday morning.
Among the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 206 are active cases. The other 141 patients have recovered from the infection, the health minister said.
Of the 206 active cases, 83 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Peren, 50 in Kohima, 43 in Dimapur, 23 in Mon, three each in Tuensang and Zunheboto and one in Phek district, according to reports.
On Tuesday, Nagaland reported 50 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally in the state to 330.
