None tested COVID-19 positive during a mass testing conducted on 260 locals of Laipham Khunou in Imphal East on Tuesday.
The mass testing programme was organised along with a vaccination programme by Laipham Khunou Youth Development Association (LKYDA) and the directorate of Health and Family Welfare.
Altogether, 100 individuals who were among the age groups of 18 to 44 years and above 65 years were vaccinated during the programme.
According to data of LKYDA, a total of 100 individuals of Laipham Khunou were tested Covid positive during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Out of which, 70 were recovered, five succumbed to Covid and the remaining 25 are undergoing quarantine at different Covid care centres.
General secretary of LKYDA Ngashepam Rakeshwor, while speaking to the media, appealed to the public to continue following the SOPs laid down by the government and support in combating the pandemic.
