MPCC provides oxygen cylinders for Bishnupur district hospital

Chairman of Pandemic Management Committee MPCC Kh Ratankumar said the oxygen cylinders have been handed over to the district hospital since it still does not have an oxygen plant of its own.

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) provided eight D type oxygen cylinders and three oxygen regulators to the chief medical officer of Bishnupur district hospital through the deputy commissioner of the district on Monday.

After handing over the oxygen cylinders, chairman of Pandemic Management Committee MPCC Kh Ratankumar said the oxygen cylinders have been handed over to the district hospital since it still does not have an oxygen plant of its own.

He said that the oxygen cylinders were handed over under the guidance of MPCC president Govindas Konthoujam.

MPCC also handed over water, facemasks and hand sanitizers to the quarantine centres at Pitambara English School, Malom Mega High School, Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School and Kamakhya Pemton College on Monday.

After handing over the items, general secretary MPCC M Subhashchandra said the items were provided to encourage the volunteers providing service to the quarantine centres and other civil voluntary organisations working for the welfare of the public.
