The Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) on Tuesday expressed discontentment over the “continuous spreading of false allegation as if Mangboilal Lhouvum was a cadre of Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) after clarification” and appealed to refrain from spreading false information.

The outfit information and publicity secretary T Simte alleged that on evening of June 4, Mangboilal Lhouvum, a resident of Chalwa village was shot dead by post commander major Alok Sathe of 44 AR 'E' Coy, Banglabung Gelnel village outpost.

The accusation of deceased Mangboilal Lhouvum being the new finance secretary of KRA in-charge of the area is being floated around social media and even some reputed TV channels have reported the accusation, he said.

Considering that accusation though completely baseless, could leave a bad impression upon the organisation and the family of the deceased, a clarification was made immediately to avoid misconception but unfortunately, a morphed photo of late Mangboilal Lhouvum depicting him in combat dress was being circulated and the false allegation continued to spread further, he said.

“The false allegation spreading like wildlife is purely executed to tarnish the hard earned image of the organisation and defame the family of the deceased,” he added.

He further said that KNO/KRA once again appeal to all to refrain from spreading false information without cross checking the facts.

It also warned that the organisation will no longer remain a mute spectator and initiate appropriate action against such culprits who continue to spread false information.

The KNO/KRA also appreciated the Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi and other civil bodies apart from various other like minded individuals who took initiatives in bringing justice to the innocent deceased Mangboilal Lhouvum and his family.

It also said that the KNO/KRA in its operational areas always emphasize for development of the society at large and does not give any hindrance in any kind of government's development projects undertaken in the area.
