College students in Imphal want classes, examinations to be conducted online

Many students in Manipur are apprehensive that they may not be able to continue their studies in higher education.

The Imphal College Student Union on Wednesday appealed to the department concerned and the state government to conduct online classes for six semester students and to conduct online examinations for the welfare of the students.

The students union urged the same to issue a notification regarding the status of examination for 1st semester and 3rd semester students which is not conducted till date.

Many students are apprehensive that they may not be able to continue their studies in higher education, the student union stated in a release signed by general secretary Oinam Premdas Singh.

It stated that the academic atmosphere has been affected by the pandemic since 2020 as well as the strike called by the teachers in connection with their demands for their pay.
