25 widows provided COVID-19 relief goods in Kangpokpi

The TSA Sadar Hills and the Assam Rifles team visited around 25 widows at various places and provided Covid relief materials including rice, pulses, oil and protective gears in Kangpokpi district

Thadou Students' Association Sadar Hills in collaboration with 38 Assam Rifles Kangpokpi Post under the aegis of 22 Sector AR IGAR-E reached out to widows of Kangpokpi district with various Covid relief materials on Tuesday.

 A team of TSA Sadar led by its vaccination team convenor Lamminsei Sitlhou, Roina Kipgen, general secretary Thadou Womens' Association general headquarters and the Assam Rifles team visited around 25 widows at various places and provided Covid relief materials including rice, pulses, oil, protective gears, etc.

Speaking to the media, Lamminsei said that they have identified the genuine and eligible widows for whom the relief materials sponsored by the Assam Rifles were distributed.

He said that TSA Sadar Hills will continue to reach out to all the genuine and eligible widows in Kangpokpi district during these unprecedented times.

Apart from helping the widows, TSA Sadar Hills Vaccination Team will also disseminate awareness on vaccination at all the Covid free villages in Kangpokpi district in collaboration with the village authority concerned, and initiate mass vaccination in collaboration with the respective Covid task force and medical department, he added.
