Covid 19 pendemic and lockdown have caused hardship to the people of Moreh town due to non availability of work. To help people tide over the hardship, Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) distributed five kgs of rice to every household of Meetei Leikai.
A total of 115 household of Moreh Khunou Leikai were given the relief material on Sunday. On Monday, 148 household of Moreh Heinoumakhong Leikai and 175 household of Khongnangthaba Leikai were provided the relief material.
Turel wangma and Moreh premnagar Leikai will be distributed today. M Thoiba- MCM president, in his speech said that moreh being the border town and far from capital town, people are facing immense hardship due to border shield and lockdown.
MCM with it's fund and donation from generous people, distributed the said relief materials. Though it is not much, it can be a little helpfull to the needy.
