Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday inaugurated the PSA oxygen plant in Thoubal district. The oxygen plant with a capacity of producing 22-25 D Type oxygen cylinders per day, is the second PSA oxygen plant to be inaugurated by the chief minister within a week.
CM Biren had on May 26 inaugurated one PSA oxygen plant with a capacity of filling 45-50 D Type cylinders per day at Churachandpur district hospital. This was the first oxygen plant to be set up in the hill districts of Manipur.
"I'm happy to inaugurate the PSA Oxygen Plant at Thoubal District which is capable of producing 22-25 D Type oxygen cylinders per day. This plant at Thoubal is the second PSA oxygen plant to be inaugurated after Churachandpur in the last one week," CM Biren tweeted.
The chief minister also inaugurated the 10 bedded ICU equipped with ventilators and 40 bedded Covid Ward at the District Hospital Thoubal.
"This facility will now enable us to accommodate serious patients coming from Thoubal and adjoining areas in the Thoubal District hospital itself with the same kind of facilities available in major hospitals in Imphal," CM Biren said in a Facebook post.
