The Manipur government on Friday declared as many as 16 locations in 16 districts as temporary lock-up for detention or accommodation of accused who are COVID-19 positive. The Home department stated that in the order that the chief medical officer (CMO) of the concerned district will provide medical assistance as per protocol. The locations for the detention of the infected accused are 01 quarter inside Irilbung PS for Imphal East; Khongjom PS lock-up for Thoubal district; Chandel PS lock-up for Chandel district; Type-Il Quarter inside R/L of Ukhrul for Ukhrul district; Senapati PS lock-up for Senapati district; 01 room at Churachandpur PS for Churachandpur district; Chasad PS lock-up for Kamjong district; 01 room just behind Moreh PS for Tengnoupal district; Sub-Jail, Jiribam for Jiribam district; 01 Barrack at Chothe for Bishnupur district; Tenkonjang Higher Secondary School for Noney district; an old and abandoned SDO office, Tamenglong for Tamenglong district; SC/ST Hostel, Kakching Wairi for Kakching district and Bhairodan Maxwell High School, Thangal Bazar for Imphal West.
