Nagaland logs 192 new COVID-19 positive cases, tally surges to 21,215

Nagaland's COVID-19 tally on Friday surged to 21,215 as 192 more persons tested positive for the viral infection, the state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

Taking to Twitter, the minister said that 61 new COVID-19 positive cases were from Dimapur, 47 from Tuensang, 26 from Kohima, 25 from Phek, 14 from Zunheboto, five from Peren, four each from Wokha and Mokokchung, three from Longleng, two from Kiphire and one from Mon.

Nagaland also recorded 134 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 15,258.

"Update! 192 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur-61, Tuensang-47, Kohima-26, Phek-25, Zunheboto-14, Peren-5, Wokha-Mokokchung-4 each, Longleng-3, Kiphire-2, Mon-1. 134 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur-65, Kohima-38, Mokokchung-11, Phek-9, Peren-7, Zunheboto-4," Phom tweeted.

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland is 4,990 as of Friday.

A total of 343 COVID-19 patients have died in Nagaland, of which 12 deaths were not due to COVID-19, the health minister said, adding 624 COVID-19 cases have migrated to other states.
