241 more test COVID-19 positive in Nagaland

Nagaland's COVID-19 caseload surged to 18,076 on Sunday.

Nagaland on Sunday recorded 241 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state's tally to 18,076, official sources said.

Of the new COVID-19 cases, 103 were reported from Kohima, 102 from Dimapur, 14 from Mokochung, 10 from Longleng, five from Zunheboto, three from Phek and one each from Mon, Kiphire, Tuensang and Peren, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said in a tweet.

The state also recorded 108 recoveries, pushing the cumulative number of recovered cases to 13,195, the health minister said.

"Update! 241 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Kohima-103, Dimapur-102, Mokokchung-14, Longleng-10, Zunheboto-5, Phek-3, Mon-Kiphire-Tuensang-Peren- 1 each. 108 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur-58, Kohima-36, Mon-6, Longleng-4, Phek-3, Mokokchung-1," Phom tweeted.

With the new COVID-19 cases and recoveries, the number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland stands at 4,100.

As per the latest update by the health minister, a total of 209 COVID-19 patients have so far died in Nagaland, of which 11 deaths were not due to COVID-19.

The state health minister added that 572 cases have migrated to other states.
