Another doctor succumbs to Covid-19 in Manipur

Indian Red Cross Society Manipur branch condoles death of ENT Specialist Dr Jodhchandra Sanasam who passed away at RIMS on Sunday

A day after a COVID-19 Frontline Hero Dr Richard Duomai of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), who was serving COVID-19 patients at the Covid facility of the hospital died of COVID-19, another doctor succumbed to the viral infection in Manipur on Sunday.

Dr Jodhchandra Sanasam, an ENT specialist passed away at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal on Sunday afternoon after battling COVID-19 along with other ailments. 

Extending its condolences, the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur state branch said that Dr Sanasam was an excellent human being who smilingly helped others is no more and the void created by his passing away will be difficult to fill.

"The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur state branch is shocked and pained to learn about the sudden demise today afternoon at RIMS hospital after a short illness of Dr Jodhchandra Sanasam, a well known Medical professional and eminent lyricist, writer and translator, who had been associated with the branch and had been its treasurer for a term,"  the society's general secretary RK Nimai Singh stated in a condolence message.

The Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur state branch offers its condolence to the bereaved family members and prays that they have the resilience and strength to weather this great loss, it added.
