Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) has condoled the untimely demise of S Satyabhama Devi who served as chairperson of Manipur State Women’s Development Corporation Ltd. (MSWDC Ltd).
Satyabhama who expired on May 11 also served as chairperson of Manipur State Social Welfare Board, Imphal and held undertakings of the state government under department of Social Welfare, stated a release issued by chairperson of MSCW Binota Meinam.
MSCW shares the deepest grief and loss of the distinguished personalities of Manipur with their bereaved families, it stated.
MSCW also condoled the demise of programme executive in All India Radio, Imphal Bijaya Yumlembam who expired on May 12, the release stated.
The release added that Bijaya joined AIR, Imphal as Transmission Executive on April 19,1989 and she had even accompanied Mangka as official in charge at the Asian Broadcasting Corporation Folk Music festival at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
On the same mission, she accompanied Lansana, a folk singer at ABC meet at Beijing. She also represented India at the ABC Workshop in Malaysia, the release added.
