Bridegroom found COVID-19 positive, wedding attendees to be tested

The bridegroom who was tested COVID-19 positive is a resident of Thoubal Wangmataba Hawaibam Leirak in Thoubal district.

A man who got married on Sunday has been tested positive of COVID-19. Following which, the bride along with the people who attended the wedding will be tested for COVID-19.

The bridegroom who was tested COVID-19 positive is a resident of Thoubal Wangmataba Hawaibam Leirak in Thoubal district. He is currently working at a private clinic after completing his MBBS and intern.

The man underwent RT- PCR test at RIMS after he started feeling unwell in the last three days. The bride is a resident of Yairipok.

According to a report received from the District Disease Surveillance Office, contact tracing was carried out and all the attendees of the wedding ceremony will undergo COVID-19 screening within five days.
