Meghalaya: Random COVID-19 testing in Tura on May 11

Random testing would be carried out at Tura Bazaar, Belderpara, Lower Wadanang, Araimile, Chandmary, Chitoktak, Darenbibra (Jail Road) and Hawakhana to identify potential cases of COVID-19 in the town.

The West Garo Hills (WGH) district administration informed that random testing of people in the various localities of Tura Urban will be done on May 11 following a spurt of COVID-19 cases in the town.

The District Surveillance Officer (DSO) stated in a order that random testing would be carried out at Tura Bazaar, Belderpara, Lower Wadanang, Araimile, Chandmary, Chitoktak, Darenbibra (Jail Road) and Hawakhana to identify potential cases of COVID-19 in the town.

The order issued on Sunday has sought the support of the development committee of the above mentioned localities for the arrangement of testing venues as well as to inform people to come forward for the tests.
