Family of deceased jemadar receives financial aid

Jemadar Waikhom Ronald Singh succumbed to COVID-19 while he was on election duty for the recently conducted Assam and West Bengal assembly polls.

As a token of honour and respect, office bearers of SI and Jemadar batch of 2015 visited the residence of the late jemadar Waikhom Ronald Singh and handed over a sum of Rs 2,50,000  to his family members on Saturday.

Ronald was on election duty for the recently conducted Assam and West Bengal assembly polls when he suddenly became sick on the way to West Bengal. He was rushed back to Guwahati and treated for COVID-19 at Guwahati Medical College and later succumbed to the virus.

The office bearers of the SI and Jemadar batch of 2015 also joined in the sorrow and pain of the bereaved family.
