AMFA tells players, officials to get vaccinated

Teams who failed to produce certificates of vaccination will not be allowed to participate in the league or tournaments, said All Manipur Football Association.

The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has made it mandatory for all players, team officials and match officials to get vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine as they need to furnish or produce the vaccination certificates while coming to take part in leagues and tournaments.

The AMFA in a statement issued on Friday, called for all its registered players and team officials alike to get vaccinated with the required doses of COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest, in case the situation of COVID-19 pandemic improves for resumption of sporting activities.

It added that teams would be required to produce certificates of vaccination while participating in tournaments and leagues organised by AMFA and its affiliated district associations which is put on hold midway owing to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

The All Manipur Football Association further stated that the same strictures for COVID-19 vaccination imply to match commissioners, referee assessors and all referees as well.
