YCB takes initiatives in fighting COVID-19

Youth's Club Brahmapur (YCB), Imphal East district distributed hand sanitisers and face masks to those who are residing as tenants and a proper awareness was given on the SOPs of COVID-19 on Thursday.

Several awareness programmes on the guidelines to prevent COVID-19 has been initiated by the Youth's Club Brahmapur (YCB), Imphal East district.

A release signed by general secretary of YCB, Sapam Italy said that the club took the initiative since April 28 and it has been continuing till date. To make the awareness programme more effective, one volunteer of YCB is assigned for each 50 households in the areas where the club functions. The volunteers have been monitoring every person who enters the locality and checking for face masks to be worn as a mandatory practice. They have also been providing necessary assistance in testing COVID-19 status to any resident who has symptoms.

It further said that YCB distributed hand sanitisers and face masks to those who are residing as tenants and a proper awareness was given on the SOPs of COVID-19 on Thursday.

YCB further appealed to all the locals clubs, NGOs, Meira Paibi organisations and the public to take up initiatives in fighting the pandemic.
