The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) stated that the organisation is saddened to learn the sudden demise of emeritus general Secretary of Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC) (L) reverend Dr Hawlngam Haokip on Wednesday around 5:20 pm at JNIMS Hospital, Imphal.
(L) Reverend Dr Hawlngam Haokip was the first to earn a Doctoral Degree in theology within the Kuki Society, and a founding member of Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC), stated a release.
He was a dedicated selfless servant of the Lord until he breathed his last, apart from being a priest, he worked tirelessly in bringing peace and harmony amongst different communities of the state, it stated. All his spiritual and social contributions towards the society and the state would be remembered by one and all and his dedication for the society would always remain alive in all our hearts, it stated.
“The organisation extends our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, near and dear one and pray to the almighty to comfort them in this sad time,” it added.
