Tamenglong shopkeepers take pledge to maintain COVID appropriate behavior

Tamenglong Police on Tuesday conducted special drives on COVID Appropriate Behaviours in town area.

Tamenglong police on Tuesday conducted special drives on COVID Appropriate Behaviours at vegetables vendors and along Tamenglong bazaar, starting from Haipou Jadonang Bazaar to Town Baptist Church Junction.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the special drives, superintendent of Police Tamenglong Sandip Mohurle said that the special drive was conducted after making public announcements for three days. 

“We are making the shop keepers pledge not to sell goods to any customers coming without face masks and maintain social distancing. Violators would be caught and made the announcer during the special drives on COVID Appropriate Behaviour. This is the punishment for today,” he said.

Several shop keepers were made to take the pledge during the special drive where superintendent of police Tamenglong Sandip Mohurle; additional superintendent of police Tamenglong Karthik; SDPO Tamenglong Josiah Pamei; OC Tamenglong Th Dominique were part of the programme.
