VDF Welfare Association extends financial aid

A financial aid of Rs 2 lakh was extended to the wife of (Late) Md Shahabuddin on Monday by the Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association.

A financial aid of Rs 2 lakh was extended to the wife of (Late) Md Shahabuddin on Monday by the Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association.

Md Shahabuddin was a VDF personnel posted at Babu Bazaar in Thoubal district. He died due to an illness on April 16.

A press statement issued by publicity secretary of Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association, Konsam Bikram informed that the team visited the residence of the deceased and extended monetary help to his wife. The monetary assistance has been provided from the Thoubal and Kakching District VDF Welfare Fund, it added.

The VDF welfare association leaders along with DHQ Thoubal, inspector Abdul Gaffar Mashood and CAR, DHQ Thoubal also provided financial help to five VDF personnel posted at Thoubal district, who are undergoing medical treatment due to illness and injuries.

The association further appreciated SP Ibomcha, officers-in-charge of concerned police stations in Thoubal district and post commanders for initiating on deducting some amount of money from the monthly ration allowance given to VDF personnel for the VDF welfare fund.
