Under the initiative of SP Tengnoupal, a community level meeting on COVID-19 was held on Thursday at Police IB, Moreh.
The meeting was attended by different leaders from Hill Tribal Council, Meetei Council Moreh, Tamil Sangam, ACODOM, Gorkha Samaj, MMCM, Kuki Women Union and Human Rights.
During the meeting, SP of Tengnoupal, Th Vikramjit Singh said that the country is now in a critical situation to combat the COVID-19 second wave.
The state government has taken up various measures and SOPs to be maintained to combat the pandemic. Every person of the state should follow the new guidelines and SOPs, he added.
Later, the SP along with the CVOs leaders distributed face masks in the market areas and gave an awareness of COVID-19 to the public.
Meanwhile, a large number of people came to PHC Moreh for COVID-19 vaccination. Over 800 people so far have been vaccinated in Moreh town.
