Manipur Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president S Tikendra Singh on Saturday said that the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) should approach a proper forum at an appropriate time and place instead of misleading the people by submitting a memorandum to the governor,

He said by playing cheap politics, SPF submitted a memorandum to the governor of Manipur, seeking a special assembly session to adopt a resolution on a no-confidence motion against the BJP-led state government. Tikendra said the ruling party has no objections on submission of the memorandum but the rival political party should be aware that the BJP won the lone seat of Rajya Sabha election with four more votes.

Tikendra said the submission of a memorandum to the governor against the BJP-led state government is out of place and time. If necessary, the rival political party should come to an appropriate place, time and forum to show the public about the reality of the political scenario of Manipur instead of creating confusion towards the public, he added.

Meanwhile, as a part of the observation of Modi 2.0, he spoke about the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his contributions for the country.

President BJP-Khundrakpam Mandal, M Debaratan Meeitei; national vice president, BJP, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi and president, BJP, Imphal East, L Kamni Singh attended the programme as dignitaries.
