Bishnupur: All shops, markets to remain closed by 3 pm

On Sunday, all shops and markets are to remain fully closed, the office of the Bishnupur district commissioner stated on Tuesday.

All shops and markets in Bishnupur district have been asked to remain closed by 3 pm daily and fully closed on Sunday in view of the worsening COVID-19 pandemic situation, official sources said.

The deputy commissioner, Bishnupur district, in a notification issued on Sunday, stated that all shops and markets in the district should remain closed by 3 pm daily and fully closed on Sunday. 

The notification was issued with a view to prevent the spread of COVID-19 due to over crowding at shops and markets in the evening time, stated the deputy commissioner.

Bishnupur district on Tuesday reported 24 new COVID-19 cases, a big surge from Monday's five positive cases.

The state recorded a total 175 COVID-19 positive cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department stated.
