COVID-19 tally crosses 200 mark in Nagaland

Three new COVID-19 positive cases were reported on Saturday, taking the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 201, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland has surpassed the 200 mark with three new cases reported on Saturday, official sources said.

With the three new cases the total number of coronavirus cases in Nagaland  surged to 201, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

Taking to Twitter, the minister said that the three new cases were among those 275 samples tested. Of them, two cases were reported from Kohima quarantine centre while the other one is reported from Dimapur quarantine centre, he said.

"Out of 275 samples tested, 3 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported. 2 patients from Kohima QC & 1 from Dimapur QC," the health minister tweeted.

As per the update by the minister, the number of recovered cases increased to 125 while the number of active cases stood at 76.

On Friday, five new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nagaland, taking the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state to 198.
