One-day training programme on 'Participatory seed production of Kharif rice'

A total of 24 farmers attended the training programme.

In a bid to improve Kharif rice production, a one-day training programme on 'Participatory seed production of Kharif rice' was held Wednesday at Khoupum sub-division under Noney district, maintaining COVID-19 SOPs.
 
The training programme, organised by ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tamenglong District, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur, was held at Namkaolong Part-II village.

During the day-long programme, Gaipuichung Kamei, SMS (Agronomy) and Dr Kolom Rabi, programme coordinator in-charge, KVK Tamenglong elaborated on the improved cultivation package, practice of Kharif rice and participatory seed production through seed-village concept.

As a part of the programme, paddy seeds were also distributed to the farmers. A total of 24 farmers attended the training programme.
