Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tests COVID-19 positive

Rahul Gandhi urged those in contact with him recently to follow safety protocols.

A day after former prime minister and veteran Congress leader Manmohan Singh tested positive for COVID-19, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said he has tested positive for the viral infection.

Taking it to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi urged those in contact with him recently to follow safety protocols.

"After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID. All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe," the Congress leader tweeted.

On Monday, former PM Manmohan Singh was admitted to the trauma centre of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Delhi after testing COVID-19 positive.
