Tika Mela in Imphal: 506 people vaccinated

As many as 506 people above 45 years of age were given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine during the day COVID-19 Tika Mela in Imphal, sources said.

The COVID-19 Tika Mela was organised at Marwari Dharmasala on April 17-18 by Raj Medicity in collaboration with Shri Hanuman Jayanti Mahotsava Samiti, Imphal for Imphal Bazaar Community.

The Tika Mela was held with the aim to inoculate maximum number of eligible people against the coronavirus amid a worrying surge in positive cases in the state, stated a release by Raj Medicity.

No adverse event was detected so far during the camp, it said.

Appealing to the people of Manipur who are eligible to take the opportunity and get vaccinated, Raj Medicity chairman cum managing director H Rajen said such services would continue at the hospital located at North AOC, Imphal.
