Free eye screening camp held at Mata village in Churachandpur

At least 17 people who attended the eye camp were recommended for surgery and will be given free surgery at Shija Hospital, Imphal.

As many as 102 people were screened for eye problems at a free vision screening camp held at Mata village in Churachandpur.

The Free Vision Screening Camp, organised by Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with Mata Unit of Young Vaiphei Association and ADC Churachandpur, was held at the community hall of Mata village.

Among the 102 persons, 17 were recommended for surgery including cataract. They will be given free surgery at Shija Hospital, Imphal.

A medical team from Shija Eye Foundation that came to Churachandpur for the screening camp included DNB Ophthalmology, Dr Rakhi; ophthalmic assistants, Sharmila and Serina; assistant camp coordinator, Rohenjit;  ophthalmic nurse, Ningoleima; deputy manager BD, Thokchom Denish Singh, driver K Chingkhei; community health worker of Churachandpur Vision, Thongoulun Lhungdim.
