With a total of 11 gold and nine silver medals, Kangpokpi district badminton association (KDBA) bagged the second position title in the 18th Hill Districts Badminton Association Manipur (HDBAM) tournament which was held at Ukhrul from April 10 to April 14.
A reception ceremony for KDBA was organised on Thursday at the residence of Lunsieh Kipgen located at North Lambulane, Imphal.
The 11 gold medals won by KDMA was achieved through A Hmangte and Lim Khongsai (45+ men's doubles); SR Koireng and CT Vaiphei (40+ men's doubles); SR Koireng (40+ men's singles); Andrew (men's open singles); Chong and Andrew (mixed doubles-XD); Andrew (U-19 men's singles); Mosang and Gogou (U-19 men's doubles); Hoichong(40+ women's singles); Hoichong and Hatbem(35+ women's doubles) and Kikim (U-15 girls’ singles and U-11 girls’ singles).
The nine silver medals were achieved through Haopu (55+ men's singles); Reco (35+ men's singles); CT Vaiphei and SR. Koireng (35+ men's doubles); Seiboi and Macnus (men's open doubles); Hatbem (40+ women's singles); Nengcha (35+ women's singles); Nengcha and Kim Koireng (35+ women's doubles); Hohoi (U-11 girls’ singles) and Kikim and Hohoi (U-15 girl's doubles).
