A team of Khongjom Police Station conducted liquor drive in and around Khongjom Bazaar area under the supervision of its OC, inspector K Santosh on Thursday, police sources said.
As per the police sources, one woman namely Sagolshem Maingou Devi, 60, wife of (Late) S Sammu of Khongjom Bazaar was apprehended along with 3 litre of DIC liquor from her liquor stall located at Khongjom Bazaar.
Meanwhile, a team of Nongok-Sekmai Police Station conducted a liquor drive at Ukhongsang area and one DIC liquor seller was picked up along with 4 litre of DIC liquor from his house.
The person picked up was identified as Thokchom Kiran Singh, 43, son of Th Maimu Singh of Ukhongshang Mamang Leikai. Necessary formalities have been initiated, the sources added.
