Only COVID-19 negative passengers to be allowed into Manipur

The COVID-19 test report should be taken within 72 hours from their arrival in the state, the Manipur health department stated.

The Health Department, Government of Manipur, has ordered that all persons entering Manipur, whether by air or by road, and irrespective of the place of origin, shall be allowed entry only on mandatory production of a negative RT PCR/TrueNat/CB-NAAT COVID-19 test report taken within 72 hours from their arrival in the state.

A release signed by deputy secretary of Health and FW, Soiminlian Langan has stated that the order shall be effective from April 18 onwards and the preventive measure may be strictly complied by all the concerned. All the Army or CAPF units are instructed to arrange for COVID-19 testing of their personnel while entering the state, it added.
