To mark the 77th anniversary of Flag Hoisting Day at INA Museum, Moirang and as a part of the run up to the 75th Independence Day “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”, Loktak Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis Churachandpur Sector organized a cycle rally for the youths of Bishnupur District, Manipur on April 14.
The cycle rally was flagged off from Ningthoukhong Bazar and culminated at INA Museum, Moirang followed by the partcipation of local youths in the flag hoisting ceremong at INA Museum.
The youths were briefed about the history of Flag hoisting by Indian National Army at Moirang and also about the significance of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The local populace and the participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for undertaking such an initiative.
