Boycott on Sumang Leela Council lifted

A joint statement signed by president Manipur State Sumang Leela Council, M Purnimashi Leima and president EGM Khogendra khomdram stated that a meeting was held on Wednesday and all their differences have been amicably sorted out.

The boycott on all activities related to the Manipur State Sumang Leela Council by All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) and Editors Guild Manipur (EGM) have been lifted after reaching an agreement on Wednesday.

A joint statement signed by president Manipur State Sumang Leela Council, M Purnimashi Leima and president EGM Khogendra khomdram stated that a meeting was held on Wednesday and all their differences have been amicably sorted out. Issues concerning the MSSL festival organised by the Council were minutely deliberated and came to an agreement that to keep the existing bond between the media and council intact, both parties shall pardon one another for any mistakes committed by both sides, it stated. The media and the Council also agreed to work with one another to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future, it added.
