Tika Utsav extended; CPI leader Nara takes COVID vaccine

As many as 665 people have been inoculated with COVID vaccine in Thoubal.

After the Tika Utsav (COVID-19 vaccination festival) has been extended for another seven days in the country, Thoubal district is prepared to inoculate more people in the coming days.

Tika Utsav was to be concluded on April 14. So far, 665 people have been inoculated in Thoubal. Twenty more people were inoculated on Wednesday at Thoubal District Hospital which included CPI Manipur leader M Nara.

Speaking to media persons after taking the vaccine, Dr Nara said that every person should take the vaccine to stay protected from the spread of COVID-19 second wave. The only way to stay safe from the disease is to get vaccinated and strictly follow the standard operating procedure of COVID-19, he added. He further appealed to the public to get vaccinated at the earliest.
