CM Biren extends Ramadan greetings to people in Manipur

With the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan or Ramzan, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has extended wishes and greetings to the people of the state, especially the Muslim community.

A message from the chief minister stated that fasting during Ramadan is one of the five-pillars of Islam adding that it develops perseverance, self-restraint, discipline, social belongingness, and unity and brotherhood. “For believers of Islam, fasting and prayers during Ramadan purifies one’s mind, body and soul,” he stated.

The message further stated that he joins the Muslim brethren in praying for people who are observing the sacred custom find comfort and reassurance in their Faith.
