The programme was jointly organised by Ningol Khut Manipur, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Thoubal and Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing.

Speaking as chief guest during the programme, MLA of Wangjing-Tentha assembly constituency, Paonam Brojen, who sponsored the expense of the hall, said that literature can never be disassociated with people as it speaks the soulful languages of the humans from the inner core of the feelings.

Literature plays an important role to maintain peace and harmony in the society, he added.

Expressing his contentment for the award winning writers from Thoubal, the MLA appealed to the people to organise more programmes on literature and continue to publish books. All sorts of help will be taken care of, Brojen said.

The programme was also attended by president of Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing, Tongbram Babulan and president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Thoubal, Moirangthem Rajendra as function president and guest of honour respectively.
