The programme was organised by Franciscan Clarist Society of NE in collaboration with Mercy Home and CDDU with the support of Jan Vikas Samiti with an aim in building self-confidence and motivation among the person with disabilities and creating awareness on their rights and duties. It was inaugurated by district social welfare officer, Angom Tamphasana.

There were two sessions in the programme, one on ‘The Right of the Person with Disabilities Act 2016’ and another on 'The Welfare Schemes for PWD under Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur’.
