District Literacy Mission Authority (DLMA), Thoubal is all set to implement ‘Padhna Likhna Abhiyan’ in the district. The decision to implement the scheme was taken at a meeting of DLMA Thoubal held on Thursday at the conference hall of DC Thoubal,
Padhna Likhna Abhiyan is a centrally sponsored scheme of adult education to cover 6,000 adult learners from the age group of 15 - 35 and above in the district. The meeting was organised with primary focus on the adult education scheme. It was chaired by the DC of Thoubal N Bandana who is also the chairman of DLMA Thoubal.
The meeting was attended by project officers and member secretary of DLMA, principal of DIET-Thoubal, CEO Zilla Parishad, pradhan of Tentha GP and ZEO of Thoubal along with social workers and representative from various CVOs
The members present at the meeting unanimously agreed on the implementation of the scheme, and the DC also appealed to all the stakeholders for full cooperation to the department.
