Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said he has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Taking to Twitter, the chief minister said he has isolated himself at home and appealed to all to follow Covid appropriate behaviour.

"I have been tested positive for Covid-19. I have isolated myself at home as per the advice of doctors. I request everyone to please follow all the covid appropriate behaviour and stay safe," Deb tweeted.

Meanwhile, a total of 33,554 COVID-19 positive cases have so far been reported in Tipura, including 389 deaths, 70 active cases and 33,069 recovered cases, sources said.
