Water storage tank inaugurated in Kangpokpi's Thanglongbung village

The water tank with a capacity of 10 kilo litere was constructed under 69 Battalion CRPF CAP 2020-21.

A new water storage tank constructed at Thanglongbung village, Kangpokpi district was inaugurated March 28 by IGP of CRPF, Randeep Datta as chief guest with CO of 69 Battalion, Bajarang Lal and village chief Thongkhojang Haokip as guest of honour and special guest respectively

A release by CRPF said that the water tank with a capacity of 10 kilo litre was constructed under 69 Battalion CRPF CAP 2020-21. The project was undertaken considering the acute shortage and scarcity of drinking water in the area. Water is tapped from a natural spring about 1 km from the village and stored at the village to cater to the needs of the people. The project will finally solve the problem of drinking water shortage in the village, it added.

The water supply project was taken up under the guidance of Randeep Dutta and supervision of Bajrang Lal and Tongkhotinpao Lupheng, who is also an assistant commandant of F/Coy 69 Battalion, New Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi district, the release said.
