Leaving the killers to roam freely even after so many days of the ugly incident, is a glaring sign of inability of the Central government and the Nagaland state government in arresting the perpetrators, Zeliangrong Baudi stated.

Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has stated that it strongly condemned the killing of three innocent Zeliangrong persons in their own village in the most barbaric manner by well trained gunmen.

An emergency meeting convened by Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) was held on Tuesday at Peren district, Nagaland, stated a release issued by media and publicity cell Zeliangrong Civil Organizations (ZCOs).

It stated that Zeliangrong leaders representing various Zeliangrong civil bodies and organisations hailing from Zeliangrong territories of the three states attended the meeting and deliberated in connection with the killing of three innocent persons at Zeliangrong Lamhai Namdi village on March 22 by well trained gunmen who were armed with automatic sophisticated weapons.

The meeting strongly condemned the killing of three innocent Zeliangrongs and took serious note of the lack of will on the part of the government of India and Nagaland government in arresting the criminals even after the lapse of more than ten days of the ugly incident, it stated.

Leaving the killers to roam freely even after so many days of the ugly incident, is a glaring sign of inability of the Central government and the Nagaland state government in arresting the perpetrators which is evident of insensitivity, insincerity and lack of commitment into the matter, the release stated.

The Zeliangrong people who are living in the three states are strictly observing the way and manner of dealing with the Central government and the Nagaland state government regarding the ugly incident, it added.

It is the topmost priority, duty and responsibility of both governments to ensure the safety and security of its citizen but killing of three innocent Zeliangrongs at their own village land by the well trained gunmen with automatic and sophisticated weapons cannot be ruled out of pre-planned and orchestrated at the high level of conspiracy, it mentioned. The degree of crime perpetrated upon the three innocent villagers of Zeliangrongs Lamhai Namdi village within their own village land is intolerable, it added.

After serious deliberation of the ugly incident, the meeting adopted various resolutions including to demand the Government of India to immediately intervene into the matter by directing the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe into the ugly incident for impartial, speedy and effective investigation for delivery of justice, it added.
