Chairman of the observation committee Sunil Karam said that the Centre must not hurt the sentiments and interest of any communities in the state while it tries to find any political solution for a particular group.

The 19th Great June Uprising, Unity day 2010 Observation Committee has appealed to the police personnel to cooperate with martyrs family and invitees who will be coming to attend the unity day at Kekrupat.

Speaking to the media at Kekrupat on Wednesday, chairman of the observation committee Sunil Karam said that the Centre must not hurt the sentiments and interest of any communities in the state while it tries to find any political solution for a particular group.

Internal differences among different communities should be solved internally without taking the problems and differences to any other third party, said Sunil. Different communities in the state should unite for a common future of the state, he added.

He further said that any community should not make any demands that can disintegrate the unity of the state. Titular King of Manipur has not been invited at the observation since he failed to understand the sentiments of the people, he added.

Vice chairman of the observation committee, Nando said the blood donation which was always conducted at Kekrupat since the past many years will be conducted at RIMS and JNIMS blood bank for the current year, he stated.

The number of days for blood donation can be extended depending on the response of the blood donors, Nando added.
