ESU Wangkhei to represent Manipur in final round of Hero Indian Women League 2021

In the league round of the meet, ESU Wagkhei dubbed AMMA FC Andro by a huge margin of 7-1 goals.

ESU Wangkhei emerged winner of the 11th AMFA Senior Women’s Football League for BM Singh Trophy 2021 (Pre-Qualifying Round for Indian Women League) played at Artificial Turf Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.

In the league round of the meet, ESU Wagkhei dubbed AMMA FC Andro by a huge margin of 7-1 goals. By virtue of finishing the league on the top of the table, ESU Wangkhei will represent Manipur in the final round of Hero Indian Women League 2021 which will be played at Bhubaneshwar.

ESU Wangkhei proved too much for the lesser known AMMA FC team, who were reeling under great pressure right from the start as the former landed blow after blow to give a hectic time to Andro goalkeeper under the bar. ESU scored five goals in the first half and the remaining two goals in the second goal.

Sultana struck twice for ESU while teammates Umabati Devi, Priyangka Devi, I Prameshowri, Kimnungsang and Anju Chanu scored one goal each. The lone goal for AMMA FC Andro was fetched by Abem Devi in the second half while teammates Ph Nirmala Devi got booked with a yellow card in the match.

In the other last league match, Manipur Police Sports Club, Police HQ settled for a goalless draw against YWC Langthabal to share a point each. Langthabal player Melody Devi received a yellow card in the match.

ESU Wangkhei finished the league with 15 points winning all given matches while YWC Langthabal settle for the second spot with 10 points, MPSC Police HQ with 8 points, ICSA Irengbam with 4 points, WFA Kakching with 3 points and AMMA FC Andro with 3 points.
