A one-day kishan mela cum launching of Area Base Schemes and distribution of inputs organised by KVK Thoubal was held at the premises of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Thoubal, Khangabok on Friday.
Managing director of Manipur State Co-operative Bank Limited A Subash; general manager of NABARD, RC, Imphal Srinivash Rao; executive engineer of Thoubal Project Division Number IV; Water Resource department, Manipur Mangkhothang Haokip and director of Agriculture, government of Manipur Laltanpui Vanchhong attended the event as chief guest, president and guest of honors respectively.
As a part of the event, Area Base Piggery Loan being sponsored by KVK Thoubal under MSCB Limited was distributed to 25 applicants. Moreover, distribution of inputs to farmers under Nutri-sensitive Agriculture Research Innovation (NARI) and Knowledge System and Homestead Agriculture Management in Tribal Areas (KHAMTA) was also held.
Under the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), project on ‘Demonstration of growth performance of improved fish’, varieties Jayanti Rohu and Amur Carp, 85 bags of fish feed were also distributed to selected five fish farmers of Thoubal district.
A newsletter was also released by the dignitaries during the event.
