Moreh holds candlelight vigil in solidarity with victims of Myanmar

Showing support to the people’s aspirations for the restoration of democracy in Myanmar and paying solemn tributes to those who had laid down their lives, the gathering observed a two-minute silence.

A candlelight vigil in solidarity with the victims of spring revolution in Myanmar was held on Tuesday at Moreh town.

Under the instruction of Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), the candlelight vigil was organised under the aegis of Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh.

The executives of Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Kuki Khanglai Lompi (KKL), Kuki Women Union for Human Rights (KWU and HR), Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Moreh Youth Club (MYC), Moreh Pastor Fellowship (MPF) and locals were seen gathering at HTC complex to show their solidarity with the victims of pro-democracy movement in Myanmar.

Showing support to the people’s aspirations for the restoration of democracy in Myanmar and paying solemn tributes to those who had laid down their lives, the gathering observed a two-minute silence, for which chairman of MPF, pastor Ngamhao Touthang prayed for the victims and innocent citizens who suffer at the hands of junta forces.
