Three more persons test COVID-19 positive in Manipur

The state's COVID-19 casleoad surged to 29,335 on Sunday.

Manipur's COVID-19 caseload surged to 29,335 with three more positive cases, the state health department said on Sunday.

The three new cases included one each from Imphal East, Imphal West and Kangpokpi, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated. 

While the death toll stood at 373, the cumulative number of recovered cases increased to 28,933 with two recoveries and the number of active cases is 29, the release stated.

It added that the state's recovery rate reached 98.62 per cent.

Meanwhile, 1,085 more people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Manipur. The cumulative number of vaccinated people has risen to 81,251, including 31,140 healthcare workers, the release added.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
